Owens STEAM Academy Qualifications: Media Specialist Certification Responsibilities: The Media Specialist will manage and oversee the school's media center, incorporating innovative technology to enhance students' learning experiences. Key responsibilities include: Facilitating hands-on activities using Legos , 3D printers , and virtual reality headsets to promote creativity and problem-solving. Teaching coding fundamentals and supporting robotics projects to inspire students in STEM fields. Guiding students in CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act) compliance by teaching digital citizenship and internet safety. Collaborating with teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum and create engaging, tech-enhanced lessons. Promoting reading through library books both digitally and hard copies. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, enjoys working with students, and fosters an environment of innovation and discovery.
