Job Overview
This position will be tasked with creating a high profile, positive image for the JCC. Responsible for all marketing, advertising, and public relations emanating from the JCC. This includes marketing JCC programs, services, and events. It also includes responsibility for cultivating media relations, community outreach, email marketing, direct marketing, all print publications, including copy editing, and consumer and market research.
Responsibilities
Marketing
- Develop and implement marketing/communications long-term strategies to increase brand awareness and create an image of excellence for all JCC programs and services.
- Serve as the primary resource and support for marketing and promotional activities across the entire JCC.
- Ensure that all marketing and promotional activities are consistent with the overall branding strategy and messaging.
- Work closely and collaboratively with all program teams to determine marketing needs.
- Coordinate with departments on the best way to circulate materials.
- Perform market research and analysis.
- Identify target segments for potential new JCC membership and donors.
Communications
- Create, write, edit, and produce organization’s collateral materials, including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, e-blasts, and social media.
- Manage and maintain the website, creating content in collaboration with department heads.
- Oversee social media efforts.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of all communication methods through regular data collection.
Media and Community Relations
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with media contacts.
- Identify opportunities to promote the JCC in media, including the preparation of press releases and feature articles.
- Plan effective use of the media for participation in JCC activities.
- Respond to press and media inquiries.
- Oversee community outreach.
Other Responsibilities
- Have an excellent knowledge of the JCC mission and programs.
- Formulate and work within the marketing budget.
- Staff the JCC Marketing committee and attend the JCC Board of Directors Meetings when requested.
- Serve as a member of the Senior Management Team.
- Provide excellent customer service.

- Superior computer skills.
- Graphic design skills.
- Strong understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
- Superior project management and time management skills.
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach.
- B.A with a minimum of 5-7 years in a managerial role in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing.
- General understanding of Jewish traditions and values preferred, but not required.
This role is essential for shaping the narrative of our organization and requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to changing environments while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
