Job Overview:
The Web Development team is responsible for implementing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring the security of the B&H website. They work closely with other departments such as design, product management, and marketing to ensure that the website meets the needs of both the company and its customers. The Level 4 Web Developer plays a crucial role in the team, tackling intricate projects and tasks that require advanced skills and knowledge while also providing technical leadership and guidance to junior developers. In addition to their technical skills, the Level 4 Web Engineer also possesses excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. They are able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals. Overall, the team dedicated to Web Development at B&H plays a vital role in the success of the company's online platform. Their expertise and dedication ensure that customers have a seamless shopping experience, leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Independently create intricate fullstack code utilizing JavaScript, Node.js, React, SQL, and some Java.
- Work on extensive projects and challenging assignments specifically on B&H’s flagship website.
- Write complex code that integrates front-end and back-end technologies seamlessly.
- Possess a deep understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as React to build dynamic user interfaces.
- Utilize Javascript as a Back-End language for handling server-side logic and building scalable applications.
- Manage database queries and ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation using strong SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Java is beneficial for some legacy applications written in Java.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timelines.
- Engage in continuous learning and stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in web development to maintain high performance and deliver quality results.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High level understanding of dynamic E-Commerce websites.
- Knowledge of B&H domain and technical infrastructure.
- Awareness of capabilities and limitations of Javascript technologies.
- Resourceful, detail-oriented, and efficient research skills.
- Excellent grammar and writing skills; articulate communicator and analytical thinker.
- Knowledge of B&H policies and procedures.
Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
- Minimum of 8 years experience writing core Javascript or a similar language within an e-commerce setting.
