User Experience (UX) Researcher/Designer
to join a fast-paced, collaborative team environment supporting mission-critical projects. This role combines a deep understanding of user behavior with innovative design thinking to craft seamless experiences that drive impactful results. We're looking for a
User Experience Researcher/Designer
who knows how to connect the dots between user needs, technical constraints, and product vision. You'll work directly with end-users, dig into their pain points, and design solutions that truly resonate. You'll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to shape the user experience from initial discovery to final delivery. If you love digging into the details, thrive in ambiguity, and can translate research insights into clean, elegant designs, we want you on our team. What You'll Do Understand the Mission : Get hands-on with end users to uncover their challenges, workflows, and aspirations. Translate these insights into actionable design solutions.
Research and Design : Conduct interviews, usability tests, and persona development. Use findings to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Solve Problems : Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design user experiences that balance simplicity, functionality, and technical feasibility. Stay Hands-On : Jump into user testing sessions, iterate on feedback, and refine designs to perfection. Document and Evangelize : Create clear, organized documentation that keeps everyone - from developers to stakeholders - on the same page. Own the Flow : Design systems, workflows, and interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and delightful to use. Collaborate Relentlessly : Work side-by-side with developers, program managers, and other UX pros to ensure what we design actually gets built - and built right. Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related technical field. Minimum 2 years of experience in UX research or design (new graduates with comprehensive portfolios are encouraged to apply). Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions to diverse stakeholders. A portfolio showcasing design expertise, research methodology, and user-centric solutions. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. Demonstrated ability to balance visual design elements, such as typography, hierarchy, and interaction, with functional requirements. Experience working with Agile methodologies and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance Preferred Experience conducting user research, including interviews, user testing, and persona creation. Familiarity with software development, web design, and cloud infrastructure. Experience working with design systems and implementing reusable components. Previous experience supporting government contracts or defense-related projects. Knowledge of data analytics platforms and workflows.
