Bumble Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Internal Communications to join our People & Culture team. The Director of Internal Communications will be responsible for creating and executing internal communication strategies that align with Bumble's business goals and organizational values. This role will lead efforts to foster transparency, employee engagement, and cultural alignment across all levels of the company. As a key member of the employee communications team, this person will partner with senior leadership and collaborate across departments to drive compelling messaging and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and drive the business forward.
What you'll do
About you
$140,000 - $200,000 a year
Base Compensation Range: $140 - $200K. For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
What you'll do
- Co-develop and implement an overarching internal communications strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identify communication priorities for leadership updates, cultural initiatives, and change management efforts.
- Write and edit compelling messages, including CEO communications, company announcements, and event invitations.
- Collaborate with design/creative teams to produce engaging visual content for newsletters, intranets, and videos.
- Prepare talking points, scripts, and presentations for executive team members, particularly for All Hands and key meetings.
- Coach leaders on effective communication techniques for engaging with employees.
- Oversee internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, Slack, All Hands) and ensure effective message distribution.
- Regularly gather employee feedback through surveys or focus groups, using data to assess and refine communication strategies.
About you
- 10+ years in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading initiatives in medium to large organizations.
- Ability to design and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals/OKRs.
- Expertise in crafting clear, engaging, and inspiring written and visual content for various platforms.
- Experience coaching executives and creating messaging for leadership presentations, All Hands calls, and other engagements.
- Skilled in navigating and communicating during periods of transformation or organizational change.
- Expertise in managing sensitive or crisis-related internal messaging.
- Ability to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and iterate based on employee feedback.
- Proficiency in managing intranet platforms and internal channels like Slack.
