Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director, the Youth Services Librarian plans and implements the Youth Department’s programs and services from TOT Time to Teen. He/she is also responsible for helping maintain the children’s collections and publicizing programs.
Duties include:
- Creating, scheduling, promoting and executing and/or oversee all youth programs
- Leading current Preschool Story Times and Tot Time programs.
Providing outreach in the form of literacy events, classroom visits, story times and other programs to Schoolcraft Schools. Seek to have a good working relationship with the area school system by collaborating with them, when possible, for programming, fundraising and community building.
Assisting with fundraising efforts to support these programs by seeking sponsors for financial support or incentives as needed for programs.
