Senior Line Producer

Our global retailer client is looking to bring on a strong Sr Managing Line Producer for their Content Studio to scope, bid, crew, produce and actualize projects shooting within the Studio. The Line Producer should have a deep and wide knowledge of the LA production community; with background in photography, video, on sets and location. Live streams, multi-camera; activations and virtual production are nice to haves. We are primarily non union, but familiarity with union productions; AICP and general marketing and music video production practices are essential. The ideal candidate possesses is looking to be part of a dynamic and growing team; is self motivated, curious and collaborative. This is an on site role, with some flexibility for remote work during production down time.

Responsibilities:

* Pre-Production:

  • Budget Management: Create and manage a line item production budget in AICP format, ensuring all crew and expenses are planned and accounted for for upper funnel, bespoke projects.
  • Ecomms/T3 – work to studio's pre-determined ratecard to source and reconcile to ensure it aligns with range allocated.
  • Scheduling: Develop a detailed production schedule, outlining all phases from pre-production to post-production.
  • Hiring Crew: Source, hire, and negotiate contracts with crew members and support staff; maintain payroll and production reports.
  • Logistics Planning: Arrange for locations, permits, equipment rentals, and other logistical needs.
  • Work with Creative department on casting and crew.
  • Work with Studio Peers to explore post solutions, CG and cadence that favors efficiency and sustainability.

* Production:

  • On-Set Management: Oversee daily operations on set, ensuring that the production stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during production, from technical difficulties to personnel conflicts.
  • Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between the director, cast, crew, and other production departments.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed on set.
  • HR standards are followed and communicated to all crew and talent.
  • All necessary payment and paperwork per governing labor laws is followed and executed.

* Post-Production:

  • Budget Tracking: Monitor and manage the remaining budget during post-production.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with post-production teams to ensure they have the necessary resources.
  • Delivery: Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time and meet the required standards.
  • Liaise with data and post teams to ensure files are created and processed according to studio SOPs

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Line Producer or in a similar role within the film or television industry.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of production processes, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules.
