Club Pilates is a boutique fitness studio with over 1000 locations across the US offering 12-person reformer Pilates classes as well as private instruction. Our ownership group operates 2 Studios in Essex and Union County NJ and is in the process of opening a third in Union Township NJ.
Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at Club Pilates Union Township in Union, NJ. The General Manager will help coordinate and oversee the pre-sale and grand opening process of a new studio and once open will oversee the daily operations, as well as plan and coordinate events for grassroots outreach. The General manager will be responsible for sales and member retention in the studio.
Qualifications 3+ Years proven experience in managing a fitness studio or similar facility Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for health, fitness, and providing exceptional customer service Sales experience Certification in fitness, sports management, or related field is a plus Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities Hiring and on-boarding of new staff members Supervising front-desk associates on day-to-day tasks and ensuring staff is hitting KPI Targets Training all new front-desk associates on all studio operations Making sales calls Giving introductory class sales pitches to prospective members Being available during evenings and weekends as needed Executing sales process of lead generation, follow up, and close Maintaining acceptable level of personal sales production Presenting available services to current or prospective members Booking quality appointments to achieve monthly sales quota Participate in special events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, and community and hospital events) to promote the club Organizing grassroots outreach events with the goal of generating leads for the sales team Organizing member retention events in order to foster a community atmosphere within the studio Execution of membership changes including cancellations, freezes, etc. Comprehension and enforcement of studio policies and procedures Basic equipment maintenance Other duties as assigned
