The Role

Our onsite AV technicians provide onsite support to key customers at their headquarters or other key campus locations. If the client has multiple locations, this role travels between client locations where weve installed audio visual equipment, performing on-site service on equipment thats malfunctioning and conference room support. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for trouble shooting service needs related to their audio-visual equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date verified firmware and modify systems to optimize performance.
  • Recommend presentation and conference technology solutions that promote both client and UTGs objectives.
  • Perform weekly operational testing of installed audio-visual equipment and make any necessary repairs.
  • Complete tickets in a timely manner within the clients ticketing system, maintaining SLAs.
  • Communicate with OEM on unresolved issues with audio-visual equipment.
  • Obtain return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) from manufacturers on unrepairable products.
  • Provide support for key meetings/conferences.
  • Work extended or modified hours during special events and holidays to provide adequate support for our clients.
  • Responsibly operate the company van and gas credit cards.
  • Other duties as assigned (Based on managed services agreement with our client.)


Criteria

Must-Haves

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1-3 Years Installation/Service Experience
  • Crestron and Biamp Experience
  • Commercial Audio-Visual Installation Experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client site(s) in Columbus, IN daily

Nice-to-Haves

  • Crestron and Biamp Certifications
  • Desire and ability to be trained on additional AV technology and customer service

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to quickly learn and build technical capabilities
