Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • You will serve as the Agency's Content and Messaging Manager by coordinating and collaborating with other team members to develop and manage external and internal communication channels and programs to engage, inform, and educate Agency employees, stakeholders and customers.
  • You will develop and implement a multi-platform content strategy centered on improving user experience and promoting strategic communication goals.
  • You will manage the content strategy and collaborate with other team members to develop content for external channels including social media, emails, news releases, newsletters and partnerships.
  • You will plan and coordinate public information campaigns, including schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • You will serve as the official spokesperson for the Agency, providing accurate, timely, and transparent media responses and interviews while protecting the Agency's Brand, image and reputation.
  • You will perform a variety of other content, messaging and communication duties including assisting leadership in developing speaking points and presentations, reviewing content created by others (i.e., news releases, forms, letters, website content and medial responses), and assisting with developing content for internal audiences, as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience with principles, method, and techniques of communications.
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement, manage, and evaluate communication strategies and large-scale public information campaigns and programs using various digital and print delivery channels.
  • Superior writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to exercise at a high level of discretion and diplomacy.

Other Requirements
  • Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
  • Frequent work outside of normal Agency business hours including early mornings, late afternoon/evening, and weekend work, to include work during States of Emergency and Agency closures.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
