The Marketing Coordinator is a member of the marketing department and is a trusted Coordinator to the organization on effective marketing activities. Working closely with the rest of the marketing team, the Marketing Coordinator engages with sales, human resources, the lab and operations to plan and execute a variety of marketing activities that advance the company’s desired brand, technical and product positioning. This position will be located in our Woodlands office or in our Calgary, AB, Canada office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the successful execution of the annual marketing plan.
  • Interacts and communicates effectively with sales, the lab and operations teams on active marketing projects, supporting a cohesive and consistent go-to-market approach.
  • Participates in a variety of marketing initiatives including but not limited to the website, digital marketing initiatives, marketing collateral projects, earned media opportunities, and branded merchandise.
  • Actively participates in marketing project execution and supports marketing management in project scoping, project budget development and vendor assessment.
  • Collaborates with marketing and communications management to develop, review and edit marketing materials, ensuring content is accurate, targeted, relevant and reflects the company’s desired technical and market positioning.
  • Collaborates with marketing management to identify and implement creative marketing tactics that are relevant, effective and deployed through the right channels.
  • Contributes to the development of marketing metrics and as required, monitors progress.
  • Contributes to the collection and analysis of competitor marketing activities and tactics.
  • Collaborates with communications and management to develop effective and engaging presentations, etc.
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of marketing training that improves organizational knowledge regarding product positioning, benefits, etc.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven success at building strong relationships.

  • Agile and resourceful in juggling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Organized self-starter with the temperament to work in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Basic information design skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable developing and delivering effective presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate with sales, technical and operational teams across the organization.

 Experience/Education

  • 3-5+ years’ professional experience in a marketing or communications role with preference given to experience in the oil and gas or manufacturing sectors.
  • University degree or diploma in business, marketing or applicable discipline.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles preferred.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and company events, including tradeshows, conferences, and community initiatives, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple layers in an organization an asset.
  • Experience with digital, print and product marketing projects is an asset.
  • Experience working with MS Office products; HubSpot, Canava, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
