Position Summary
As the Channel Marketing Specialist - Retail, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of retail channel-specific marketing strategies for Woodgrain manufactured products (Doors & Millwork) and other products sold through our distribution division. You will be working with cross-functional teams, including Retail Account Managers, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Manufacturing to achieve business goals with our retail partners, primarily Lowe’s and The Home Depot. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that is highly organized and works well with associates at all levels inside and outside of the organization, while having a strong understanding of retail sales and omnichannel marketing. A strong background in effective project management is essential.

Equipment & MachineryThe physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment, though this person is expected to occasionally be in a retail store environment be in a manufacturing floor/environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (marketing material, displays, product, etc.). Occasional travel of approximately 3-5 times per quarter to customer and company locations is required.

Main Responsibilities Essential Tasks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Retail National Account team to identify and implement growth initiatives online and in store
- Manage, implement and drive growth of.com online sales with our retail customers
- Engage with Retail National Accounts and Marketing teams to execute cohesive online and in-aisle retail shopping experiences
- Manage and implement the marketing component of retailers’ product information platforms including images and rich content
- Implement retail channel marketing plans directly tied to joint business planning shared objectives with a focus on digital and .com
- Ensure development of materials to drive product launches, promotions, key marketing campaigns, and programs within channel and customer-specific marketing
- Build and maintain channel expertise through field travel, competitive analysis, and close collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing and retail partners
- Participate in regular meetings in person and via video conferencing with cross-functional departments and retail partners
- Assist with channel marketing Product Line Review (PLR) strategy and presentation to merchants
- Provide input to Retail National Account and Marketing teams to ensure all are aligned with the overall channel strategy and drive the best possible customer experience
- Measure and analyze channel data relating to program/promotional effectiveness and make improvements based on insights
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./ B.S.) from four-year college or university (Business/Marketing major preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years related marketing, sales or product experience
- Online product marketing experience
- Experience in building materials industry preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Self-starter with ability to get up to speed quickly and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Outstanding verbal presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Proficiency and understanding of B2B and B2C marketing in online and in-store retail environment.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively in developing marketing collateral, while also being business-minded in driving sales.
- Proven ability to drive marketing strategy and execution across multiple product categories within the retail channel.
- Ability to effectively develop presentations and present information responding to questions from all levels of the business and in front of customers.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Microsoft Suite—Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint (Intermediate to Advanced).
- Experience and proficiency utilizing Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of Door and Millwork categories preferred.
