Overview:
The Brand Communications Team helps set the brand tone and acts as the creative force to tell our stories and inspire consumers. Using advertising, digital marketing and social media, this team connects the brand to the hearts, minds & stomachs of our consumers. The Assistant Brand Communications Manager will be an integral member of this fast-paced, results-oriented team. This person should have a passion for bringing food storytelling to life through the strategic development and execution of brand communications assets across multiple platforms to create fully integrated marketing campaigns. This role is critical in driving brand equity, engagement and consumer action across the product portfolio and is responsible for a diverse range of assignments, projects, and activities to support business goals and objectives.

Job Description:

Essential Duties:
  • Ensure strategic, consistent, and premium brand messaging is conveyed across all assigned brand communications channels.
  • Act as a brand steward within marketing, across the business, and with agencies and other partners to uphold our premium brand image and reinforce the brand's value proposition.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within marketing and other teams to ensure communications align with business objectives and adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to annual brand planning by helping to identify key challenges, opportunities, and objectives for brand communications efforts.
  • Lead the execution of national campaigns and programs across assigned channels to build brand equity, engage consumers, and drive action.
  • Prepare campaign and project briefs and manage creative and content development with agency partners from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with assigned agency partners and other external resources, which may include creative, PR, social, digital/interactive, experiential, and others.
  • Ensure agencies have a deep understanding of Boar's Head's brand identity and consistently deliver premium, high-quality work.
  • Guide agency creative development, aligning with the brand communications team, compiling and providing strategic feedback to ensure all assets effectively communicate the brand's value proposition and premium positioning.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging consumer insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, advertising, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of job-related experience in marketing is required. Preferred industries include consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, wine and spirits, beauty, luxury goods, hospitality, and retail.
  • Experience in creative brand development and content creation. Ability to evaluate creative with a discerning eye and through a strategic brand lens and provide clear and actionable feedback.
  • Strong project management skills are mandatory, and the ability to manage multiple projects at any given time is critical.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Passion for compelling brand storytelling.
  • Balance between business acumen (budgets, strategy, etc.) and creativity.
  • Strong collaboration skills and adept at navigating a highly matrixed organization. Ability to interact at senior levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment. Calm under pressure.
  • High energy and a positive attitude.
  • Passion for all things culinary.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (~10%)
