Workplace Design Manager, Interior Architecture & Design

JLL has an exciting opportunity for a Workplace Design Manager Role working with a key financial client account to oversee the design and delivery of large-scale corporate workplace projects. This role will be critical in ensuring that this client's workplace environments are innovative, functional and aligned with key business goals. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who will contribute to this account through the development and oversight of smart, innovative and on-brand solutions.
The Workplace Design Manager leads cross-functional teams, collaborates with both internal stakeholders and external partners, and manages all aspects of design from concept to implementation to create exceptional, future-forward workplaces that meet the needs of employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
7+ years' experience working on commercial Interior Design projects, preferably for large organizations or financial institutions.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Excellent project management capabilities with experience in end-to-end project execution process for major commercial interior design fit out projects. Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Proven organizational skills, ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and provide high quality client service at all times.
Experience in managing design projects that involve complex technology integration and hybrid workplace strategies.
Familiarity with WELL Building Standards, LEED certification, or other sustainability frameworks.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Innovative thinker and subject matter expert, possesses thought leadership of industry best-practices.
Entrepreneurial attitude - must be self-motivated and self-managed and have the ability to multi-task and organize several projects at a given time.
Knowledge of local building codes, ADA requirements and other regulatory standards.
Strong knowledge of workplace trends, space planning, inclusive design, sustainability practices and building systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design management of large corporate workplace projects, ensuring adherence to design standards, budget and timelines.
Act as the primary point of contact at the project level for client regarding design-related matters.
Collaborate with internal cross functional teams including real estate, workplace strategy, workplace experience, property management, sustainability, corporate security, brand and technology to develop design concepts that support business needs.
Manage relationships with external design firms, architects, consultants and contractors, ensuring effective communication and delivery of high-quality projects.
Oversee design phases including schematic design, design development and construction documentation, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and sustainability initiatives.
Provide leadership in space planning, interior design and furniture selection, ensuring the workplace environment fosters productivity, employee well-being and innovation while aligning with client's design standards.
Oversee client's design review process ensuring design reviews are performed in compliance with corporate guidelines, accessibility standards and building codes.
Coordinate with project managers, vendors and construction teams during the construction phase to ensure design intent is maintained.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in workplace design, applying innovative solutions to meet evolving needs.
In partnership with the construction manager, oversee and provide input related to project budgets, schedules and procurement processes related to design activities
Provide post-occupancy evaluations and feedback loops for continuous improvement of workplace environments.
Some travel (assume 10%) required to other corporate locations, as necessary
