Art Studio Assistant and Social Media Manager Job at Jo Fish Studio in New York

I'm a painter working and living in New York City and am looking for an art studio assistant. A little bit about me...I work full time on large scale works, heavily influenced by technology with a deep concentration on art history (readymades, alternative painting tools..etc.) I am represented by a gallery in Paris and have shown internationally in places such as China, Switzerland, France, Argentina, New York City and Miami, Florida in the U.S. to name a few. Before being able to work as a full time artist, I spent 5 years working at a secondary market gallery in uptown Manhattan and am happy to share my experience and knowledge in both the primary and secondary sphere.

I’m looking for someone with experience in both social media management and the fine arts, preferably in painting and/or photography (however, that can be flexible). Having an understanding on the ins and outs of what running a studio entails will be helpful for assisting in tasks such as prepping canvas (stretching + gesso), preparing silkscreens and packing works during exhibitions. I need someone with an ability to successfully create growth and maintain weekly activity on my instagram. Help with photography/content creation is a plus. My studio is located in downtown Manhattan and this position will be for part time work with very flexible hours / schedule. Hands on tasks will require in person work, while social media can be done remotely.
