We have an opening for an experienced Medical Editor.  This is a Temp to Perm position with full time hours.

Join our team of committed and hardworking specialists in our deadline-driven publishing group. We take pride in working collaboratively to create the best print and online training materials in the business for our Fortune 500 clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proofreading and editing medical/scientific-related scripts, storyboards, print layouts, and multimedia presentations to ensure their correctness, clarity, and quality
  • Apply style and preferences specific to each client or project and avoid inappropriate cross-pollination of styles
  • Review documents for adherence to formatting and style and maintain consistency across multiple deliverables
  • Perform quality check of eLearning, mobile applications, workshops, and print modules
  • Prepare bibliographies and QC references to ensure accuracy and preferred client reference citation style
  • Maintain internal database for all journal and textbook references in EndNote
  • Create and update client specific wordlist/style guidelines
  • Upload documents to clients’ electronic referencing systems

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in English or related subject matter; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience as an editor
  • Advanced knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules; expertise in AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition is preferred
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to high quality
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and work efficiently to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (PC)
  • Experience using databases a plus
