Summary

The Marketing Specialist is a utility player within the Marketing Operations team. They will have a focus on Email Automation support, DAM admin, Archives Management and Copywriting support. This role oversees the management, organization, and distribution of digital assets, such as images, videos, and documents. This role ensures that all digital assets are easily accessible, properly stored, and used according to licensing agreements. This role will also support the planning, creation, and execution of email marketing campaigns while gaining hands-on experience with marketing tools, analytics, and industry best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Collaborate strategically with internal departments to determine marketing and communications deliverables based on department needs and business unit goals
  • Set-up and configuration:
    • Configure the DAM software according to the organizations needs
    • Customize settings for brand portal(s), work with stakeholders to review brand portal needs.
  • User management:
    • Create and manage user accounts and access levels (short term - JM Employees, long term - Jeweler accounts)
    • Provide training and support to users on how to effectively use the DAM system
  • Asset organization and metadata management:
    • Oversee the organization and categorization of digital assets within the system.
    • Manage metadata schemas and ensure that assets are properly tagged for easy search and retrieval
    • Develop and enforce metadata standards and best practices
    • Manage usage statistics and generate reports on asset usage
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated on the latest DAM technologies and industry best practices
  • Automation Support
    • Assist in creating and scheduling email marketing campaigns, both automated and ad hoc campaigns
    • Help write and edit email content using HubSpot's drag and drop editor
    • Support list management tasks, including uploading contacts lists, data mapping, and list segmentation
    • Learn and apply best practices for email design, formatting, and deliverability
    • Conduct basic performance tracking, compile reports, and assist with analyzing campaign data to identify trends
    • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to marketing strategies
    • Test and preview email campaigns to ensure quality and accuracy before deployment
  • Ongoing Archival support for the organization

  • Internal: Marketing, Sales, Underwriting (UW), Loss Prevention (LP), CL Leadership
  • External: Industry Associations, Agents, Jewelers, Advertising Agencies

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university preferred, with two to four years of experience in a marketing and/or communication role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience is helpful.
  • Experience using an automated marketing communications tool and DAM system experience a plus.
Computer Skills
  • Individual most possess strong proficiency in Microsoft suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
  • Individual most be capable of becoming proficient within a CRM platform, Marketing Collaboration software, and Content Management System.
