Summary
The Marketing Coordinator at First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. is responsible for supporting marketing initiatives, internal and external marketing communications, and providing direct assistance to First Industrial’s Senior Director of Marketing. This role requires excellent personal skills to collaborate effectively with teams across the organization and external partners.
You will have responsibility for the following specific items:
- Assist with the design and creation of First Industrial’s branded flyers and brochures to promote available properties for lease.
- Ensure available spaces posted to the public website and marketing listing services (e.g., CoStar/LoopNet) are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with the creation of customized marketing materials, communications and presentations in accordance with brand standards.
- Promote significant leases and development activity through media releases and electronic broker communications.
- Ensure regional offices adhere to brand guidelines.
- Support regional leasing and investment contacts with local events, sponsorships, broker outings, and speaking opportunities.
- Assist with planning and coordination of internal conferences and corporate events, including the annual Leadership Conference.
- Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to develop and distribute press releases and social media posts.
- Contribute to internal communications via the Company’s intranet and quarterly employee newsletter.
- Support logistics and materials for Investor Relations conferences and roadshows.
- Provide input and insights for meetings, presentations, and regional events.
- Execute tradeshow/sponsorship plans, including travel to 1-2 conferences annually to network, host events, and promote the brand.
- Create and distribute social media posts for LinkedIn and Twitter to highlight company activities, leasing activity, developments, acquisitions, and charitable efforts.
- Ensure all external communications align with the Company’s professional brand standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Experience:
- 2-3 years B-to-B marketing experience required. Real Estate experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, with experience in content creation, social media and event planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, with strong PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Basic design skills and familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to quickly learn new programs and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for content creation and team collaboration.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to identifying marketing opportunities and problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Work requires occasionally stooping and bending to store, retrieve, package, and ship marketing materials and promotional items. Work requires frequently lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Work requires walking and/or standing for extended periods of time when working trade shows or conferences.
- Work is typically performed in a normal office environment where there are relatively few physical discomforts, however, some uncomfortable working conditions occur when preparing and disassembling exhibit booths.
- Up to 10% travel will be required to assist with planning of the annual Leadership Conference and to attend various tradeshows/conferences.
