Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute digital and social content, including all its programs, products, exhibitions and events across current channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) while proactively monitoring opportunities for new channels.
- Create and publish content strategy and plans, taking input from multiple data and stakeholder sources to ensure content is strategically aligned to business and brand vision to grow affinity and revenue for the Museum.
- Educate museum colleagues on brand-level content strategy and provide them with tools, resources, and guidance to be brand-aligned.
- Build and manage paid social media ad campaigns, track budgets and forecast to improve campaign effectiveness and identify new opportunities.
- Develop and integrate influencer marketing into digital content strategies. Build creative briefs and ensure alignment with brand values and marketing goals.
- Take a data-driven approach to content strategy and media planning to develop and implement impactful campaigns and content across owned and paid channels, ensuring the look, feel, and voice of the Museum's brand shows up authentically and consistently.
- Maintain a deep understanding of digital and social metrics and manage ongoing reporting. Share feedback, case studies, best practices, and learnings from insights gained from community management, content reports, and social listening to brand marketing and leadership teams.
- Manage the development/execution of social and digital-first photography and video content, leveraging content creators, influencers, freelancers, and agency partners. work with copywriters and designers to ensure all content is engaging, informative, and on-brand.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Marketing division and other departments across the museum to plan campaigns and ensure a holistic approach to digital media presence.
- Identify new opportunities to develop social and digital-first brand activations as part of broader integrated brand campaigns. Deliver innovative, best-in-class campaigns to meet channel growth goals, ensuring omnichannel efforts are fully optimized.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in brand marketing or advertising, with a focus on social/digital content and media with a minimum of four (4) years as a people manager.
- Extensive experience planning and executing organic and paid social and digital media content and campaigns in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Proven ability to integrate influencer marketing as a pillar of social engagement strategy.
- Analytical ability and data-driven approach to campaign planning and measurement.
- Experience directly managing social media accounts and hands-on experience with both organic and paid media content on key platforms.
- Passion for arts and culture, museums, hospitality, travel, emerging social platforms, and digital trends.
- Creative skills with strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/environments (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient in social media tools such as Sprout Social.
- Experience with Photoshop or additional photo-editing tools for content creation.
- Must demonstrate the ability to be proactive, work independently and accomplish results.
- Language:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
- Mathematical:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as basic math, percentages, return on investments, etc.
- Reasoning:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Physical:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000.
