Intermediate Web Developer
Position Information: Responsible for developing and/or designing websites. Coordinates with a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and updating websites.
Essential Duties:
- Designs, builds, and maintains website and software applications.
- Uses scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
- Confers with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
- Directs or performs Website updates.
- Develops or validates test routines. Ensures test cases mimic external interfaces and addresses all browser and device types.
- Edits, writes, or designs Website content, and directs team members who produce content.
- Maintains an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
- Backs up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
- Identifies problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing. Corrects or refers problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
- Evaluates code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
- Determines user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
