Quandel Construction Group is looking to add a Virtual Design Coordinator to the team!
The Virtual Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing and implementing BIM processes and technology across a variety of projects. The role involves coordinating with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and owners, to ensure effective collaboration and integration of BIM into project workflows. The Virtual Design Coordinator will also help drive efficiencies in design, documentation, and construction through the use of cutting-edge tools and methodologies.

The Virtual Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing and implementing BIM processes and technology across a variety of projects. The role involves coordinating with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and owners, to ensure effective collaboration and integration of BIM into project workflows. The Virtual Design Coordinator will also help drive efficiencies in design, documentation, and construction through the use of cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement plans for projects in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Ensure the integration of models from multiple disciplines, detect clashes, and work with the design and construction teams to resolve conflicts.
- Maintain model standards, naming conventions, and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other platforms for modeling and coordination.
- Develop and implement project layout with Trimble technology. Use of Autocad and Field Link, RTS units and X7 scanners
- Develop and issue 3D pipe drawings for coordination and material take off.
- Provide training and ongoing support for project teams to ensure that they are proficient in using Virtual Design tools and following established processes.
- Assist in the preparation of 3D models, shop drawings, and construction documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Stay current with new BIM technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and processes that can improve project outcomes.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in Virtual Design or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related tools.
- Previous experience using drones is preferred but not required.
- Experience with clash detection, model validation, and data management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead collaborative meetings and coordinate diverse teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot VD-related issues and provide effective solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
