At Nurture Life, we’re reimagining the way kids eat by making delicious, nutritious, ready-to-eat meals, snacks and smoothies for babies, toddlers and kids. Our food is chef-crafted to appeal to growing young palates, and everything on the menu is nutritionally balanced by registered dietitians and child nutrition experts. We also have zero-prep snacks and smoothies for an on-the-go treat that’s always wholesome. Job Description
Nurture Life is a rapidly growing children’s food company that delivers fresh, nutritious, ready-to-eat meals and snacks. We are seeking a talented and passionate UX Designer & Developer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of creativity and analytical thinking, complemented by a strong ability to design, test and build user-centric digital solutions. This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design and user experience of our ecommerce subscription website and mobile app for potential & existing customers.
- Participate in user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, etc.) to gather insights and understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including our product manager, developers, and visual designers to align design solutions with technical constraints and business objectives.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma or other similar tools to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.
- Execute usability testing sessions on wireframes & prototypes with real customers along with product manager, analyze results, and iterate on designs based on feedback.
- Provide clear documentation and hand off materials to developers to ensure proper implementation of design solutions.
- Facilitate and participate in QA and user acceptance testing.
- Own design, creation, optimization & execution of landing pages, including recommendations and testing in collaboration with Growth team.
- Design and implement A/B tests to optimize conversion rate and other site experiences and key retention metrics.
- Leverage behavioral analytics tools, including Heap, to capture real-time user data and derive insights to optimize the user journey.
- Maintain Figma design systems to ensure cohesive visual elements and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Apply modern web development practices including implementing UX best practices, responsive design and mobile first layouts.
- Monitor the competitive landscape to understand customer expectations and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Stay up to date with the latest UX design trends, tools, and best practices and incorporate them into your work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role in product design (4+ years preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in product design in D2C environments, supported by an impressive portfolio that showcases your UX design process and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Figma or other design and prototyping tools to create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity visual designs.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Experience designing for mobile and web applications, with a strong understanding of responsive design.
- Experience using Heap or other site analytics tools.
- Experience with A/B testing.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
