Manpower is hiring: CAD Designer in Petersburg

Our client, an industry leader in distributing structural steel, tubing, pipe, piling, and plate products in the US and Canada, is seeking a CAD Designer to join their team. As a CAD Designer, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CAD Designer

Location: Petersburg, VA

Pay Range: $25 per hour

What's the Job?

• Produce shop drawings and 3-dimensional models in Tekla Structures.
• Organize and maintain a digital file database for each project.
• Utilize knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks, including 3D model development and general arrangement drawing production.
• Facilitate and ensure the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team.
• Communicate with other team members during the 3D model and plan production.

What's Needed?

• Familiarity with Solid Works, SDS2, Tekla, Creo, or other 3D CAD software preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Accuracy and reliability in work.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience preferred but not mandatory; entry-level candidates will be trained on Tekla Structures software.
• Certificate from a technical center or a minimum 2-year college degree in drafting.
