What are we looking for?
A strong marketer and leader with a proven record of shaping and driving insights-based brand strategy to lead HCP Marketing for SOTYKTU in psoriatic arthritis (PsA). SOTYKTU is a flagship brand for BMS and has the potential to be a blockbuster, as a first-in-class, selective TYK2 inhibitor.
The Director will lead the US Commercial launch team and the development of marketing strategy, resources and tactics. S/he will collaborate closely with the PsO team, the Orencia team, as well as with cross-functional leaders across Worldwide, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A), Medical, Market Access and Patient Access Support Services (PASS), Omnichannel, Sales, Training, Patient Advocacy, Corporate Communications, etc. to ensure robust strategic planning and strong execution that accelerates growth of SOTYKTU PsO and PsA.
The Director will report to the VP of Marketing and sit on the SOTYKTU Marketing Leadership Team. S/he will play an integral role in the identification and hiring of key talent across the US SOTYKTU marketing team, as well as be responsible for building positive culture within the team.
We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven leader with a challenger mindset, who cultivates a team-based, collaborative environment that promotes innovation and appropriate risk taking.
What are the primary responsibilities?
Lead commercial launch team meetings to ensure launch readiness
Define target patient, rheum targeting and segmentation, messaging, launch KPIs
In partnership with PsO team, define PsO-PsA positioning and creative
Define and execute market shaping plan for rheumatologists
Develop core resources (IVA, peer to peer deck, website, etc)
Provide commercial input on cross-matrix activities, ensuring consistent, on-strategy execution of brand priorities within each function
Foster strong collaborative working relationships with SOTYKTU leadership team
Collaborate with matrix partners to effectively analyze customer insights, brand performance, market trends, & competitive response to inform strategic plans that capitalize on prioritized business opportunities
Effectively partner with AOR, providing clear expectations, guidance, and feedback to agency, ensuring rigor in marketing excellence
Develop and grow talent and model the BMS Talent Philosophy
Qualifications and experience we look for in a candidate:
BS/BA degree required. MBA preferred.
8 years of pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.
Understanding of the dermatology and rheumatology marketplace is recommended but not required; relevant Immunology experience is a plus.
Proven record of leading and being the champion of commercial strategy.
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and connect interrelated activities across the matrix to deliver impactful results. The ability to identify commercial gaps and engage necessary stakeholders to develop a comprehensive plan of action will be critical for the successful candidate to demonstrate.
Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships.
Highly skilled in translating insights into sound marketing actions and business recommendations.
Demonstrated willingness to push and evolve the organization with creative thinking and capability building
Strong ability to effectively drive performance within a matrix organization with exceptional organizational, interpersonal communication skills and executive presence required.
