JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:Marketing Specialist

Position Summary:

BuddoBot is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with a positive outlook and a willingness and ability to work with and help others. This position requires someone with great communication and project management skills and an ability to analyze data and identify trends. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate with other departments to promote brand awareness and maintain company social media accounts and marketing materials. This position will help create a strong industry network, increase brand awareness, and develop a reputable corporate image by developing/executing effective communications and media relations.

Clearance Eligibility: Must be able to pass a State and Federal criminal background check, to possibly include a credit check.

Salary:The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, demographic data, and new marketing opportunities
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing plans/campaigns
  • Execute marketing plans/campaigns
  • Track metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) from marketing plans/campaigns
  • Assist in outbound/inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (e.g., content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.)
  • Coordinate with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with other departments to support brand awareness and meet brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate marketing efforts and create branding ideas and marketing materials
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (e.g., social media, web, etc.)
  • Analyze marketing data (e.g., campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and strategies by evaluating KPIs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients through networking and prospecting
  • Create/maintain marketing collateral and materials, ensuring brand guidelines are met
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums, adhering to company publications and documentation guidelines
  • Maintain company social media accounts/platforms (create content/posts, respond to comments and shares, update account information when necessary, etc.)
  • Create/review company press releases
  • Cultivate relationships with influential print, digital, and broadcast journalists
  • Organize/plan public relations strategies
  • Support portfolio-level marketing, collateral, brand, and documentation efforts

Education and Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or communications, or 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar field.

Background and Experience:

  • Experience with various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and content management systems
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, etc.)
  • Experience with Hootsuite (scheduling posts, using analytic tools, etc.)

Required Technical Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO, email, mobile, social media, etc.) and market research methods
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge in writing and editing content
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize/plan events

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible.
  • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.
  • Occasional movement of small articles up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Continually operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Occasionally required to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Continually required to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
