Position Overview:
Based in Hauppauge, NY - Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As part of the Marketing Team, this position will assist with internal and external communications initiatives, in line with strategic business goals and related activities. This position will work closely with the entire Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations Teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of internal and external communications for distribution through various outlets, including social media, newsletters, announcements, email campaigns, websites, and blogs.
- Assist with the maintenance and development of our website, blog, and corporate accounts on social media platforms.
- Produce a variety of written communications in support of our public relations plan, including press releases, articles, project histories, and staff profiles.
- Preparation of the design and layout of marketing materials, advertisements, print ads, and print catalogs.
- Assist in the selection of promotional materials and sales events by evaluating inventory and competitors. Produce marketing material to promote sales events via print, digital and e-mail campaigns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry media and marketing professionals, employees, and corporate executives at all levels within the organization.
- Update and maintain client database, press release log, and advertising schedule. Maintain library of press clippings and track & media coverage.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for printing, giveaways, marketing promotions and materials for company events, trade shows.
- Special projects as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, English, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B Marketing/Communications is preferred.
- Highly motivated, self-directing, and eager to learn
- Works as a team player within the office structure
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (as demonstrated through writing samples)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Proficient in Woocommerce
- Proficient in e-mail marketing campaign services such as Constant Contact
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, including X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc
- Ability to create and maintain relationships internally and externally
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
