Website Application Developer Intern
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and skilled Website Application Developer Interns to join our Product development department and provide creative ideas and development work to help achieve specific aviation product goals. We currently build software for various industries in both the B2B and B2C consumer categories. Someone who is also looking for an opportunity to find a good fit with our company, and is seeking an opportunity to be converted into a full-time employee.
You will also be working as a full-stack website application developer in our Product development department and closely with the marketing and design departments and times with the president of the company who plays a large part in the designing of the company's various software products. You will gain real hands-on working with many aspects of the product on the front-end and back-end.
We are looking for someone who is very positively aggressive, creative, willing to learn new things, seeks out the new and improved, and someone who is not afraid to fail and make competent mistakes. Someone who believes that there is no proverbial "box" to begin with so never has to be asked to “think outside of the box”.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain clean, and clever Mean Stack codes
- Work with the popular CMS WordPress
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of web applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
- Work with the company's AI department and provide insights into key Machine Learning algorithms for the product
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization of the company’s web applications
- Apply understandings of web and mobile web app (Mean Stack)
- Collaborate with other developers and designers to help define, build, and deliver new features in the web applications
- You will spend a lot of your time building web apps, efficiently coding in Mean Stack. This includes new feature development, architecture, writing unit tests, refactors, and bug/crash fixes
- Work with the development team to build basic algorithms for in-app metrics tracking and user adoption tools
- Share responsibilities such as app architecture/design reviews, code reviews, performance tuning, and build pipeline management
- Own and deliver all your tasks, small must-do tasks to larger, complex projects with many moving parts
- Share your opinions and help shape our technical direction, best practices, product ideas, and team processes. Your inputs are most valuable.
Requirements
- You are pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming design & development concepts
- Previous experience with javascript, Angular, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Java
- Previous working experience with WordPress.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment
- Solid coding chops, code design skills, and practitioner of web development best practices - including object-oriented design principles; design pattern usage; writing modular, reusable, testable code; data structures; concurrency; performance profiling and tuning
- Developing proficiency in Angular (v7 or higher), Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Mongoose, Git, Postman, GitHub, AWS, PHP, Laravel, Rest/Restful, etc. - the skills and tools needed to build our web apps.
- Great communicator, adaptable, supportive, hard-working, and has a great sense of humor.
- Loves to learn new things about programming each day.
This internship will help you acquire software engineering and development skills and provide you with knowledge of aviation industry-specific engineering requirements. Ultimately, you will gain experience in conceptualizing, designing, and developing software for both B2B and B2C markets within the aviation industry and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
