Job Title: AV (Audio/Visual) Technician
Location: Princeton, NJ

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV (Audio/Visual) Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of conference and meeting room technologies. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless execution of presentations, meetings, and events by managing AV equipment, systems, and setups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, test, and operate AV equipment, including microphones, projectors, video displays, and control panels, for presentations and meetings.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during live meetings or events to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Manage and operate video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.
- Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and basic repairs on AV systems to ensure long-term functionality.
- Assist users in understanding and operating AV equipment and provide training or user guides for efficient utilization.
- Collaborate with event organizers to understand AV requirements and deliver optimal setups tailored to specific needs.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, issues, and resolutions, and document operational procedures.
- Track and manage AV equipment inventory, ensuring availability and readiness for scheduled events or meetings.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in AV systems or related fields preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in AV setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance, preferably in a corporate or event setting.
- Experience with video conferencing systems and technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of AV equipment such as projectors, mixers, amplifiers, and control systems.
- Proficiency in video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex).
- Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, or similar AV control systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of networking and IT concepts as they relate to AV systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible hours, as needed for events or maintenance.
- Ability to lift and move AV equipment as required (up to 50 lbs).
