Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Are you ready to take on a leadership role in SEC reporting and technical accounting? Our client, a growing real estate investment firm, is looking for a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to join their team in Boston. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office and offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of critical financial processes. What You'll Do:

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including 10-Ks and 10-Qs, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Own and maintain the SOX framework, including documentation and controls, while drafting detailed narratives.
• Provide technical accounting expertise on complex transactions and policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes and emerging accounting standards to advise senior leadership.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in public accounting or a mix of public and private (candidates straight out of public are encouraged to apply).
• Strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting within a publicly traded environment.
• Expertise in SOX compliance, including owning the framework and drafting narratives.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
