The Role

As our Digital Designer, youll play a key role in crafting visual assets that engage, inform, and inspire developers and technical leaders. Youll bring concepts to life across multiple digital channels and produce creative assets seen by millions of developers globally.

What youll do

• Design user-friendly, website experiences that reflect GitKrakens brand positioning and target audience needs.
• Conceptualize responsive web and mobile layouts that adhere to modern UX/UI principles.
• Partner with the demand generation team to create advertising and lead gen landing pages that are optimized for conversion.
• Adapt asset templates to stay current with design trends including email templates, reports, white papers, infographics, event pages, etc.
• Develop marketing collateral, including digital ads, social media graphics, banners, product images, workflow/educational diagrams, etc.
• Collaborate with the demand generation team to create assets for A/B testing and performance optimization.
• Partner with the content and product marketing teams to bring storytelling to life through compelling visuals.
• Design interactive website experiences to elevate user engagement and deepen product understanding.
• Ensure designs align with GitKrakens innovative and witty brand identity.
• Stay up-to-date on AI tools and trends that can augment and enhance design processes.
• Work closely with development to test and refine designs during website implementation.
• Articulate creative choices and logic, both verbally and in written form.
• Collaborate with remote and co-located team members across Marketing, Product Marketing and the larger organization.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, communicate progress, and meet deadlines.

What youll bring

• 3+ years of experience in digital design roles, creative marketing agency roles, branding, web design, or a related field.
• Expertise in modern design principles, including UI/UX, responsive & mobile design, and accessibility standards.
• Strong time management and ability to multitask on multiple projects.
• Familiarity with AI design tools like Midjourney.
• Experience designing for marketing campaigns, including high-converion landing pages and ad creative.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent design tools.
• Experience with web design best practices, including knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Comfortable working with Wordpress, Elementor, and HubSpot templates.
• Familiarity with interactive design tools or frameworks (e.g. Figma interactive prototypes).
• A strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Bonus points

• Experience designing marketing assets for SaaS products and/or highly technical audiences.
• Basic web development skills.
• Video editing and motion graphics.

Location

This is a hybrid position based in Scottsdale, AZ. This role combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of meaningful in-person collaboration. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Scottsdale area.
