Responsibilities:
- Independently translate client requests into dashboards and reports in common BI tools, such as: Tableau, Looker Studio or Power BI (we most commonly use Tableau and Looker at PMG)
- Consistently implement data management best practices and understands why to follow them (Proficient in data cleansing techniques, such as removing duplicates, standardizing formats and handling missing data) - Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Play an active role in planning and executing projects: define project scope, set realistic timelines, create project plans, manage the project. Identify risk and steps for mitigation; understand the importance of documenting projects, transformations and data models
- Collaborate with client strategy to provide comprehensive reporting, tracking, and forecasting, contributing valuable insights for assessing program performance across channels and shaping future strategies.
- Drive digital growth through a thorough analysis of the competitive landscape, fine-tuning existing channel performance, and uncovering opportunities for operational efficiency enhancements.
- Develop, implement, and oversee vital channel forecasting.
- Effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders; understand customer problems and provide tailored solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Actively listen to customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs, as they arise
- Collaborate with other analysts cross-functionally
- Support onboarding, training and mentoring of junior analysts
- Effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders; understand customer problems and provide tailored solutions in order to ensure customer satisfaction
- Actively listen to customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs, as they arise
- Independently work with internal media leaders internally at PMG in order to conduct analysis; collect and visualize datasets when necessary to support media questions
- 2+ years of experience automating reports in Excel/Google Sheets
- 2+ years of experience working within data warehouse tools such as RedShift and BigQuery (both will be used in this role at PMG), and the ability to work interchangeably within the two
- 2+ years of experience as a Marketing Data Analyst in either a marketing agency or in house retail environment
- 2+ years of experience in pulling data from tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio for reporting purposes
- Ability to use SQL to clean and transform complex datasets, with limited supervision
- Ability to interchangeably use two or more database syntaxes (variations of SQL language) throughout the day
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Basic understanding of Media Mix Modeling and why to leverage it in paid media/marketing environments
