The Mechanical Designer will provide mechanical/HVAC design services on a variety of commercial building projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mechanical technical drafting and design on assigned projects
  • Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities
  • Perform quality control process relative to project responsibilities on assigned projects
  • Perform initial site investigations and observations of work done by the installing contractor(s) related to contracted projects
  • Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines
  • Maintain assigned project schedules
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships
  • Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit
  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical design
  • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Four (4) years of experience in HVAC/plumbing design in the MEP field
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Revit
