We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead our SEO strategy and initiatives with a specific e-commerce client. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, industry best practices, and a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth. The SEO Manager will be responsible for helping in the developing and executing SEO strategies across multiple platforms to increase organic visibility, drive traffic, and improve user engagement. This Manager will be a client facing partner and have daily contact with multiple teams across many offices.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client: Must be able to travel weekly to client's office to work in person with internal SEO teams and provide further organic strategies.
- Develop and implement SEO Strategies: Manage the development and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies for our client to increase organic search traffic, conversions and revenue and improve search engine rankings.
- Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct keyword research to identify high-value keywords and opportunities for content optimization. Analyze keyword trends, competitive analysis & gaps, and search volume to guide content creation efforts.
- On-page Optimization: Manage on-page optimization efforts, including meta tags, internal linking, SCHEMA Markup, and content optimization, for both marketing pages and product detail pages.
- Google Organic Product Grids: Must be an expert on Google Product Grids in SERPs to optimize all products with detailed product information including clear titles, descriptive descriptions, high-quality images, relevant keywords, and accurate pricing, while ensuring client's product feed is well-structured and updated with the latest data in Google Merchant Center.
- International SEO Optimization: Including the development and execution of international SEO strategies that have optimized the client's websites and/or blogs to successfully enable search engines to identify countries to be reached or languages to be used. In addition, including collaboration with dev teams to implement said strategies. This also includes working with SEO teams in other countries to align strategies.
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies aligned with SEO goals. Collaborate with content creators to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly content that resonates with target audiences and drives organic traffic and conversions/sales.
- Technical SEO: Manage technical SEO initiatives, including website audits, site speed optimization, mobile optimization, and structured data implementation. Must be able to create site migration and redesign strategies including URL mappings, redirects, link modifications, etc. to ensure that no organic rankings are lost. Collaborate with developers and IT teams to address technical SEO issues and improve site performance.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates. Provide regular performance reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and actionable recommendations.
- Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO. Identify emerging opportunities and technologies to enhance our SEO strategy and stay ahead of the competition.
- Communication: Have the ability to communicate (in-person and on video chats) clearly, persuasively, and confidently to internal senior management and senior clients.
- Local SEO Optimization Expertise and experience with the development and execution of local strategies that have optimized the client's online presence leading to an increase in local traffic, visibility, and brand awareness.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of driving organic search growth, especially with e-commerce brands.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs. Also have experience with local tools, such as Google Business Profile for Local SEO.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and strategies clearly and persuasively to clients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
