Job title: Web Developer


Position Summary:

The Web Developer focuses on the development, maintenance, and optimization of ATA’s WordPress websites. This position will work closely with ATA’s designers and content teams to create user-friendly, visually appealing and high-performing websites. This is a full-time, exempt position that is eligible for remote work. We are not able to sponsor Visa's.


Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop, maintain and design WordPress websites, ensuring functionality, security and performance.

· Implement and customize themes and plugins as needed to meet organizational requirements.

· Update content and structure in response to organizational changes, analytics and feedback.

· Optimize websites for speed and performance, ensuring seamless user experience.

· Ensure websites and platforms are secure and compliant with standards and regulations.

· Implement and maintain security measures including regular reviews, updates and patches.

· Conduct performance tests and implement improvements.

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for website related issues.

· Collaborate with IT and staff to ensure website reliability and uptime.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define solutions for product direction, UI and experience.

· Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Associate’s degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education.

· 3+ years of experience in web development

· Proven experience in WordPress development including custom themes, plugins, APIs and multi-site networked websites.

· Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, SOAP, and Bootstrap.

· Deployment tools experience such as Git and WPEngine.

· Experience troubleshooting websites and quickly solving problems using tools such as the DOM inspector.

· Experience with hosted service providers, preferably WPEngine.

· Experience using local development methods

· Experience testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices.

· Knowledge of web security best practices.

· Experience with SEO and web analytics tools.

· Experience with graphic design tools and principles.

· Familiarity with Terminal Command Line

· Familiarity with graphic design tools and principles.

· Passion for the latest web and mobile technologies and the opportunity to learn.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and priorities.

· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

· Self-motivated, organized, and willing to take ownership of projects/initiatives and learns quickly

· Travel within the United States up to 10% (approximately 5 times per year)

· Must be able to sit for long periods of time

· Eligible for full-time remote with professional home workspace available

· Must reside within continental US
