Our Global eCommerce client is seeking a Content Designer (Bilingual in English / Chinese either Mandarin or Cantonese ) to join their team immediately. In this remote role that sits with our client's Financial Services team on the West Coast, you'll help shape critical aspects of the buyer and seller journey. Partnering closely with content designers, product designers, researchers, and other collaborators, you'll craft intuitive, user-centered product experiences. From writing microcopy to driving cohesive content strategies, you'll play an integral role in delivering a localized, high-performing experience for our Chinese customers. The Bilingual English/Chinese Content Designer, you know translating content is just the starting point. Your expertise lies in tailoring user experiences that resonate with Chinese audiences, informed by your deep understanding of the cultural zeitgeist in China. You excel at building bridges across teams and adapting established design systems to meet the needs of diverse audiences.

Responsibilities: Scale established content strategies and frameworks for the Greater China market. Design, test, and iterate on user flows in collaboration with Product, Design, and User Research teams. Develop clear, compelling, and user-friendly content for digital experiences, ensuring it aligns with brand voice and meets user needs. Write, edit, and localize content in both English and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional as needed), maintaining cultural nuance and linguistic accuracy. Drive a cohesive product narrative and ensure consistency across touchpoints, partnering with Marketing and Customer Support teams. Collaborate with Localization to ensure English source content translates effectively into Chinese, preserving meaning and user intent.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in content-focused roles, with 4+ years dedicated to in-product content or content design or UX writing. Native or bilingual proficiency (read and write) in Chinese ( Mandarin or Cantonese) and English, with outstanding writing and editing skills in both languages. Ability to craft concise, engaging, and actionable copy that will resonate with Chinese audiences. Proven experience developing product content strategies for web and mobile, with attention to accessibility and inclusivity. Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma), CMS platforms, analytics tools and web design principles. Effective collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional design and product teams. A portfolio showcasing end-to-end product work, a systems-level mindset, and the ability to simplify complex concepts. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Human-Centered Interaction, or a related field.
