The instructor role encompasses teaching undergraduate courses in marketing and sales. Service to the Department as the Director of Corporate Engagement for the Sales Program is also expected. Detailed Position Information The Department of Marketing invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position, at the rank of instructor for the academic year beginning August 16, 2025. Primary duties include teaching Sales and Marketing at the undergraduate level. Likely courses primarily include Professional Selling, Advanced Sales, and Sales Management, with the possibility of adding Marketing courses as needed. Responsibilities will focus mostly on teaching courses face-to-face. There may also be responsibilities for hybrid or online delivery modes. In addition, regularly meeting with students throughout the week related to coursework and student responsibilities is expected. Service to the Department as the Director of Corporate Engagement for the Sales Program is also expected. The Sales Program’s Director of Corporate Engagement leads a student staff of graduate and undergraduate assistants in developing and managing a portfolio of corporate sponsors who partner with the Sales Program by recruiting its students for job and internship opportunities, supplying relevant scenarios and tools to aid in the academic experience, and participating in professional readiness events. The Director is expected to secure a sufficient quantity of corporate sponsorships each year to meet the Program’s operating budget and fulfill its promise to students of quality employment opportunities. The Director responsibilities are compensated separately as an annual stipend. Minimum Qualifications A master’s in business or related field is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching marketing, sales, communications, or a related subject at the college level is preferred. Experience working with an organization’s external constituents (customers, clients, members, etc.) is preferred.
