ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is the leading entertainment news video creator, and we are looking for a vertical video producer/editor to join our powerhouse team. In this role, you'll create scroll-stopping vertical videos that shape how our audience of 20M+ experience the biggest stories in entertainment.
The ideal candidate will be extremely online, knowing the latest entertainment news headlines, niche internet humor and appreciating a good ET Vault throwback. ET's offices are located in Studio City, California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Pitch, produce, and edit vertical videos for distribution across ET's digital platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. Leverage storytelling techniques and platform-specific nuances to create high-impact videos that resonate with ET's digital audience. Review incoming footage from original shoots and select breakout moments. Dig into ET's extensive vault to uncover iconic interviews and resurface them as fresh, nostalgic content for a new audience. Work with Social Leads to ensure the finished product is legally and creatively approved and consistent with all brand style guidelines. Craft engaging copy for each post, tailored to each platform's audience, voice, and trending formats. Monitor and interpret analytics, using performance insights to refine pitches, edits, and formats, driving continual improvement and audience growth. Assist in planning and coordination for special event coverage. May include occasional night or weekend shifts around big events. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience producing and editing engaging digital video content, ideally for large, digital-first audiences. Highly skilled & experienced in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. Proven knowledge of social video publishing and platform-specific analytics, with the ability to optimize content for all platforms. Additional Qualifications Passion for pop culture and a competitive, meticulous mentality that thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring speed and accuracy. Excellent storytelling skills and able to present complex narratives in engaging, bite-sized formats tailored to social audiences. Open to receiving feedback on both line edits and overall structural changes to the story. Paramount is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
