Search for the Inaugural Creative Director UNC Greensboro (UNCG, the University) seeks an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader to serve as the inaugural Creative Director of the Jeanne Tannenbaum Center for Creative Practice (JTCCP, the Center). This leader will have a singular opportunity to craft and realize the vision for a brand-new center, one that will serve as a catalyst for creativity, collaboration, and innovation. The Creative Director will have the unique opportunity to shape the identity and trajectory of the JTCCP, building a center that integrates creative exploration and innovation into the core of campus and community life. As the inaugural leader, the Creative Director will be the driving force behind the Center’s early development, navigating the complexities of launching a high-impact initiative, building meaningful partnerships with community leaders, local organizations, and campus stakeholders, and laying the groundwork for future growth. The successful candidate will bring exceptional vision, energy, and adaptability to this pivotal moment, along with a deep passion for engaging others in creative practice. They will be a connector and translator, adept at navigating and bridging the worlds of academia, community, and industry. Responsibilities: Shape and realize the vision for the JTCCP. Develop partnerships with community leaders and local organizations. Facilitate transdisciplinary collaboration on campus and with external communities. Establish a vibrant hub for creativity and innovation. Minimum Requirements: Exceptional vision and adaptability. Experience in engaging diverse communities. Ability to navigate academia, community, and industry. Strong leadership skills in creative practice. The target salary for this role is approximately $100,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
