We are looking to add a Director for the dentsu Sports Media team where you will report into the team leads while also working closely with investment/planning teams across the dentsu ecosystem. National Video Sports will require the majority of your time but you will also work with many other channels including social, local, audio, OOH, experiential and more. This role is based in Greater New York City, NY area. Supported by your 3 direct reports, you will be responsible for the investment activity (primarily national video) for the dentsu sports component of your assigned accounts.

You will:

• Manage a team of 3 people to bridge the gap between sports team leadership and the sports team Supervisors/Managers/Assistants.
• Oversee all sports team deliverables and resources as the last line of defense prior to delivery to team leads and department, ensuring deadlines are met, processes are followed, and responsibilities/roles are clearly communicated.
• Assist with and consult with negotiations and expenditures of dentsu client's sports investment activity (primarily national video), corporate partnership contracts & more.
• Assist with sports sponsorship/marketing strategy, negotiation, and development.
• Lead POVs, recommendations, and sports media alerts/communications.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations and present to internal teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain communications process with clients, media teams, creative, etc. for each piece of business within the team.
• Oversee integration of media neutral negotiations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, marketplace intel, media tools – buying systems, research, resources, and associations.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years experience in national video investment & media buying in most of all of the following: Linear Video, Streaming, Audio, Broadcast.
• 1+ year of experience managing 1+ junior team member(s).
• Experience in Sponsorships and partnerships. Sports sponsorships is a major plus!
• Knowledge of cross-channel media with national video investment expertise. Knowledge of social is a plus!

The anticipated salary range for this position is 94K-152K. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
