This full-time, year-round position is not just a job but an opportunity to develop your skills and grow in your career.Summary:As a Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will collect and create social media content for the Marina Holdings business suite. This role will report to the Marketing Director and assist our Sales Departments in cataloging boat inventory pictures and walk-through videos. Boat shows and other event planning and coordination are also required.RequirementsEssential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Create and post content across social media platforms for all brands, including Yarmouth Boat Yard, Moose Landing Marina, Freedom Boat Club of Maine, Sea Tow Portland/Midcoast, Portland Sea Taxi, and Maine Boating Academy.Grow followers and engagement. Increase the number of followers on social media channels and create content that garners greater post comments, likes, and shares.Monitor all social media channels. Respond as needed. Forward leads to sales teams. Alert the Marketing Director and Executive Team of any concerning posts, negative reviews, and/or comments. Work with Marketing Director to create brand-building and sales videos.Assist the sales team by taking boat inventory photos and videos. Post-sale inventory walk-through videos on dealership YouTube channels.Help distribute business rack cards and brochures to chambers and partner businesses.Stay updated with social media trends, tools, and technologies.Provide regular reports on social media performance analytics and trends.Assist the Marketing Director with event planning, setup, and coordination.Other duties as assigned.Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. Excellent written communication skills.Strong photography and videography skills required, including photo and video editing.Uses technology to increase productivity and keeps technical skills up to date.Must be willing to travel between business locations to collect film and video footage.Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for events. Education and/or Experience: 2+ years of marketing/social media experience.College degree preferred.High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.Computer skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
