The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team that are a member of the Frontier League a, "Partner League" of Major League Baseball.
The Crushers established in 2009 are based in Avon, Ohio and their home stadium is Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000. Including eleven suites, four-person terrace tables, berm seating, picnic, and patio areas for group outings. The stadium has new artificial turf, concession stands, team shop, state of the art sound system and new video board. Avon is eighteen miles west of Cleveland Ohio and part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.
The Crushers have an opening for a Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications. The right individual will be an integral part of the management team to grow brand awareness, build fan engagement, drive revenue through ticket sales, merchandise and food/beverage promotions and sales support and deliver a unique ballpark experience for fans of all ages. Reporting to the Team President.
THE ROLE The Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for driving brand awareness, fan engagement and revenue. This role will lead the overall marketing strategy for the team and ballpark. This position will be responsible for hiring, training, and motivating the marketing team and work closely with the Manager of Promotions/ Game Presentation. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, in the mindset to enhance the fan experience and drive revenue.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for developing outreach strategies for brand awareness, fan engagement and revenue.
-Develop a year-round communication strategy.
-Creating the annual business plan, budget, and department workflow to deliver the plan.
- Develop and monitor KPI's on a weekly basis
-Lead our content strategy that is on brand and impactful across our traditional, digital, and social channels to support goals across the organization.
- Oversee our social media efforts, with the goal of increasing impressions & engagements across all channels.
-Develop earned media strategy
-Prepare news announcements
- Partner with and support ticket sales, corporate partnerships, food/ beverage and merchandising to ensure we are aligned in messaging.
- Develop marketing activation strategy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- 2+ years of experience.
- Strong team player and self-starter.
- Strong project management and planning skills.
- Analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions.
- Experience working with social media analytics tools,
- Self-motivated and TEAM oriented mind set
- Knowledge of Tickets.com and SCORE CRM a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze current business opportunities and implement recommended solutions.
- Excellent leadership, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays as required.
- Driven to succeed and overcome obstacles through hard work and determination.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related major is preferred
