POSITION OVERVIEW

As a PCB Designer for Blackrock Neurotech, you will be responsible for working closely with our product design, engineering, manufacturing, and packaging teams to produce complex printed circuit board designs and associated technologies, in pursuit of building technologies that will benefit patients suffering from paralysis and other neurological disorders.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5+ years' experience in PCB design Associate degree in Electrical Engineering and/or IPC CID certification Impedance matching and high-speed signal design Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong organizational skills Strong English language reading, writing, comprehension, and editing skills Ability to work independently with little supervision Ability to handle stressful situations Strong interpersonal skills IDEAL COMPETENCIES

10+ years' experience in PCB design Background in electrophysiology and/or neuroscience Proficiency with Altium 365 Experience with flex, rigid-flex, and ceramic substrates ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Design and develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) Use CAD in preparing assembly and schematics Design PCB layouts to develop small signal and high-speed, reliable circuits Create component ECAD library footprints and/or schematic symbols as required Conduct company part library maintenance Hold schematic/PCB design reviews with project team Work with project team in understanding circuit requirements and limitations Work with PCB fabricators and assemblers to facilitate fabrication of PCBAs Provide support to engineering, manufacturing, and packaging teams when required Review and recommend improvements to existing board designs Assist in preparing test procedures and developing test fixtures to verify PCB functions Stay updated with latest design techniques
