Product Design and Delivery Lead

This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate in delivering a new Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) with Child Welfare Digital Services (CWDS), a unique collaboration involving the California Health and Human Services Office of Technology and Solutions Integration (CalHHS OTSI), the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), and California's Counties and Tribes.
Under the direction of the Product Chief (Information Technology Manager I), the Product Design and Delivery Lead (PDDL) plays a key role in the success of the delivery of CARES (California Automated Response and Engagement System) for child welfare. The PDDL has the responsibility and authority over the backlog to set development priorities, scope, and technical approach to planned features within a single development phase. The PDDL is the key facilitator between domain expert Service Managers, developers, user researchers and designers to understand user requirements and transform them into a prioritized backlog of stories by assessing value of features to CWDS's goals. The PDDL is expected to use data and structured decision-making frameworks to help the team make recommendations to management for the best possible technical solutions and process improvements.
