About the Role:
We are seeking a
Lighting Design Project Manager
to join our dynamic team in Miami. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and guide a team of designers, manage multiple lighting design projects, and ensure smooth project execution from concept to completion. You will work closely with clients, contractors, architects, and other professionals to create innovative and functional lighting designs for various projects. The Lighting Designer PM will be required to collaborate with our showroom specialists to create bespoke lighting fixtures for clients, as well as review plans and renderings of architectural designs to ensure lighting is integrated seamlessly into spaces. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day management of lighting design projects. Assign tasks and projects to team members based on skills and project requirements. Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders. Attend client meetings and job sites to ensure project progress and resolve any design or implementation issues. Lead design reviews and ensure that designs align with project specifications and client needs. Develop detailed lighting design plans and presentations. Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Supervise the use of design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) for creating and reviewing project designs. Maintain a high level of quality control across all aspects of the design and implementation process. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Lighting Designer or in a similar role with architectural and lighting design knowledge. Knowledge of Lighting Control systems. Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Strong project management skills with a background in managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with clients, contractors, and architects. Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and ensure quality design work. Previous experience working with contractors, architects, and clients to deliver successful lighting solutions. Knowledge of lighting technologies, standards, and trends. Experience in working in a lighting showroom is a plus. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Miami, FL (relocation fees not provided).
