Creative Content Manager (Social Media focus) Job at AEG in Portland

The Creative Content Manager will play a critical role in helping tell the "story" of the organization, across all clubs, and club functions. The role will be responsible for helping dynamic digital content make its way across all club communication platforms, with the aim of deepening engagement with our core supporters AND developing/reaching new fans.
The position will work closely with the team's Marketing, Soccer Operations, and Communications departments while reporting directly to the Senior Director of Social Content and Strategy to set monthly, quarterly and annual objectives, and their execution.
Duties
- Serve as primary day-to-day voice for coverage of the Timbers First Team social media properties.
- Produce and oversee a calendar for team coverage plans, schedule and planning
- Work with Senior Director of Social Content and Strategy and Director of Digital Creative to strategize and long-term content planning
- Work alongside and collaborate with overall content stakeholders across the club including digital, social, marketing, communications, video, community, partnerships, etc.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in sport, soccer and content
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 3 to 5 years experience in social media or similar disciplines
- Deep knowledge of soccer preferred - MLS experience and knowledge is a plus
- Supreme written and copywriting proficiency
- Ability to edit the written word with clarity and style
- Proficiency across Adobe CC and other multimedia programs and applications a plus
- Available to travel as necessary
- Ability to work nights, weekends and occasional holidays
- Spanish language preferred, not required

The base salary range typically paid (based on minimum experience & qualifications) for this role would be $65-70k annually.
