We are seeking a high-judgment communications professional to join our team. As PR Manager, you’ll develop and execute communications programs for Amazon’s AGI organization; the team recently launched a new generation of state-of-the-art foundation models– Amazon Nova. In this role, you’ll establish strategic narratives and drive proactive storytelling across earned and owned media. This is your role if you feel comfortable diving deep, you are highly inquisitive, and motivated by a dynamic, fast-paced culture where we are establishing best practices and taking smart risks. You will also have a deep understanding of generative AI topics and trends, be eager to cultivate fresh story ideas, possess excellent writing skills, and be adept at translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories. The ideal candidate will be able to earn trust and establish strong rapport with senior business leaders, scientists, and communications colleagues across Amazon and AWS. The candidate will also have experience building programs; working across diverse businesses and teams; have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned, owned, paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards. Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities change, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with detailed execution will be essential. ABOUT THE TEAM This role is part of the cross-company AI Communications team within Amazon’s Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience Bachelor's degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit—enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen Knowledgeable about digital communications and content trends and able to apply these insights to their work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
