Service Writer at Schows Inc in Heyburn, Idaho, United States Job Description Schow's Truck Center, Heyburn, ID, has 1 immediate opening for a Service Writer.The candidate selected for this position is self-motivated and a successful customer service professional. The Service Writer duties will include direct engagement with customers, Diesel Technicians and other dealership departments. Job description:-Greets Customers at Service Counter and communicates with customers via email and phones in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner-Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, checking vehicle maintenance records and examining service schedules-Generates repair orders-Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor-Assigns and schedules jobs to technicians-Generates billing invoice for service customers and collects payment when job is completed-Updates computer tracking systems-Requests parts from inventory supply for Diesel Technicians when needed-Other duties may be assigned.
