Ridezilla, a leading powersports company, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer at our Carson City, NV location. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our service department.
1. Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming and informative experience.
- Discuss and assess customer service needs, offering solutions and guidance.
- Maintain excellent communication to keep customers informed about the status of their service orders.
- Schedule service appointments based on customer preferences and availability.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of service orders.
- Manage and update the service appointment calendar
- Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into Lightspeed.
- Create and maintain accurate service records for each customer.
- Input relevant customer and vehicle information into the system.
- Generate invoices and maintain transparency in service pricing.
- Act as a liaison between customers and service technicians, conveying customer concerns and service requirements.
- Ascertains vehicle problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
- Translate technical jargon into easily understandable terms for customers.
- Provide basic technical assistance to customers when required
- Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction after service completion.
- Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the service team to uphold high-quality standards.
- Stay informed about the latest powersports products and technologies.
- Provide customers with information on available accessories, upgrades, and maintenance tips.
- Familiar with basic combustion engine operation and parts
- Knows and understands general powersports products and vehicles
- Can demonstrate good ability to learn and operate new computer systems
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures, as defined by management
- Able to effectively multi-task several job functions at once
- Shop environment with potential physical hazards, as well as substantial office conditions May be required to work more than 40 hours.
- Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time Lift up to 50lbs Routinely kneel-down, bend-over, and reach to high shelves
