Lawrence Wine Estates supports a growing collection of wine estates in Napa Valley. The collection includes Heitz Cellar, Burgess, Stony Hill Vineyard, Ink Grade, Haynes, and Trailside. Combining wineries with a deep legacy in Napa Valley, as well as emerging brands that are anchored by distinct estate vineyards. Since the purchase of Heitz Cellar in 2018, owner Gaylon Lawrence and Master Sommelier and CEO Carlton McCoy have continued to acquire unique vineyards and now seek to launch new brands to realize more fully the potential of more than 600 acres of Napa Valley vineyards. All the estate brands honor traditional wine styles and prioritize natural farming techniques to create pure and balanced wines of the highest quality. Lawrence Wine Estates is actively expanding, creating a fast-paced environment. This endeavor creates a unique work culture where winemaking and vineyard traditions are honored, but the spirit is entrepreneurial. Lawrence Wine Estates works closely with Demeine Estates, the sales and marketing wholesale partner for each of the wine estates.

We’re looking for a passionate, driven individual to join our dynamic Marketing Department. The Graphic Designer will work with the marketing team to execute graphic design and creative visual content across email, SMS, web, social, print, and packaging.

The successful candidate will be creative, organized, and results-oriented with the ability to create engaging visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. They will partner with teams across departments and units to ensure fully coordinated execution. This role will be critical in supporting our estate’s growth initiatives and strategic priorities. The position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with onsite work being performed primarily in Napa Valley.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop graphic visuals based on sales & marketing strategy across all channels including print, packaging, advertising, web, email, and social media
  2. Collaborate closely with Director of Marketing and Creative Team to enhance UI/UX experience across channels
  3. Implement a unified visual brand identity across packaging, tasting room, e-commerce, wine club, and off-site experiences, ensuring a cohesive brand ethos and aesthetic in both physical and digital realms.
  4. Create design layouts based on strategy: selecting colors, images, and typefaces for layouts
  5. Create and present design briefs based on certain projects and strategies
  6. Pitch new design ideas and incorporate feedback into final designs
  7. Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices
  8. Liase with vendors as needed
  9. Track project expenditures and assist with budget development as needed

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 5 years equivalent work experience in graphic design (Wine Industry Experience highly preferred)
  2. Expert in design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  3. Proficient in wine label design and packaging
  4. A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  7. Strong time management skills
  8. Exemplary organization skills and attention to detail
  9. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  10. Able to prioritize and multitask

Bonus Points:

  1. If you have experience in luxury consumer marketing
  2. You are passionate about wine and ideally have wine industry experience
  3. You're an avid student of all-things design
