Position Overview
The Associate Selling Manager contributes to the financial growth of the company by ensuring customer service exceeds beyond expectations, operational integrity in how we operate, and development and promotability of our human resources. He or she will be responsible for supporting the goals of the company and individual store. The Associate Selling Manager can also have specialty within the store, including merchandising, inventory, or project-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Clienteling
- Create and foster a database of Club Monaco customers
- Implement a Personal Shopper Program
- Provide unsurpassed customer service at all times
- Implement a monthly outreach program to update client base as new product reaches the store
- Brainstorm ideas for in-store events
- Partner with store management team and district manager to execute store events
- Field customer inquiries, including questions about a specific product, quality issues, return policy questions, etc.
- Implement a system to track monthly sales, number of inquiries, type of inquiries, etc.
- Lead Product Knowledge sessions for store staff
- Communicate product and customer feedback to managers
- Assist the Store Manager or General Manager with operational duties
- Responsible for opening and closing the store on designated shifts
- Ensure monitoring and execution of daily payroll goals
- Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence
- Organize schedules for Assistant Managers, Managers-in-Training, and Stylists
- Achieve or exceed financial plans through effective planning and execution
- Monitor sales and financial results and take appropriate action at store level
- Ensure disciplined control of all store expenses
- Contribute to long-term growth through minimum turnover and recruiting high-level candidates
- Encourage empowerment and reinforce ownership in a positive work environment
- Ensure management and service associates understand and meet job expectations
- Model and coach selling service and other skills
- Provide continuous performance feedback and necessary training
- Maximize inventory to achieve planned sales
- Ensure operational integrity in routines and practices
- Train managers and service associates in inventory management
- Train and support management in visual merchandising and maintenance standards
- Monitor the application of policies and procedures
- Contribute to the success of the Company’s growth through effective Loss Prevention methods
- Responsible for all opening and closing procedures of the store on all designated shifts
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
- A minimum of 5 years retail management experience
- Computer proficiency with MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word
- Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
- Excellent English communication - verbal and written
- Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
- Goal-oriented with a focus on creating winning results
- Dedicated to high levels of Customer Service and Sales Productivity
- Must be able to work shifts standing and walking and be able to lift approx 20 lbs.
- Required to travel to remote areas for business meetings
